John Cole is a Partner and Global Head of Real Estate Credit at Eldridge Capital Management, and a member of Eldridge’s Real Estate Credit Investment Committee. Previously, Mr. Cole was the Global Head of Real Estate Credit at Cain International, where he was responsible for helping to build the firm’s franchise, primarily focusing on structured credit within the UK, US, and Europe. Mr. Cole has over 30 years of experience in real estate debt lending and has been involved in underwriting tens of billions in debt transactions. Prior to Cain International, he worked as a Director in the Global Real Estate and Infrastructure businesses at Guggenheim Investments, the global asset management and investment advisory division of Guggenheim Partners. Mr. Cole also served as Head of UK Real Estate Finance at Landesbank Baden-Wurttemberg (LBBW) and was a Senior Director at Santander UK. He held positions at Deutsche Postbank London and Bank of Scotland before joining Santander UK. Mr. Cole is a qualified Football Association (FA) coach and manages Ampthill Town Ladies FC in the Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Women’s Premier Division (National Tier 7).
